Bay Captain is not currently providing this service. California ARB has changed its requirements since we were certified to test Marine Opacity Limits. To continue our Opacity Testing Services we would need a larger contract that included a partnership with a certified Marine Diesel Mechanic. Feel free to reach out if you are a larger operation.
Bay Captain officially has been certified to test for Opacity Limits under the California Air Resource Board Regulations.
Due to the end of the year rush (today is March 22, 2024) we are not able to perform test before the March 31, 2024 deadline. However, please read the CARB New Factsheet released on March 20, 2024 that details your options if you are having trouble with Opacity Testing Compliance.
